Jennifer Carpenter-Peak and Robert Peak of Jensuya Belly Dance

What We Do

Jensuya Belly Dance is the performance art and teaching company of my husband, Robert Peak, and me, Jennifer "Jensuya" Carpenter-Peak.  With a focus on dance and music of the Near East and Mediterranean regions, we teach and entertain with Middle Eastern music, belly dance, folk dance, and culture through public and private performances, online courses, workshops, YouTube videos, and education programs. TarabRaqs Mid East Arts Education is our school division of Jensuya Belly Dance.

What we do

Our live events and programs are on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  But you can still enjoy a video performance, an online course, or a virtual program.

“Jensuya is an amazing teacher—she is a gifted dancer AND teacher—she knows how to teach beginners through advanced. A consummate professional. Her workshops are SO FUN!”  —Tracey F.

“What an awesome evening!  The pair (Jensuya & Bob) make a great combo—and it is SO RARE to have live drumming as you dance.  I've seen them several times performing...fantastic show.”  —Tara S.
